See more Gerald U @RT15217464 02/03/2025 It’s a decent underdog baseball movie with the expected cliches and inspirational moments. The acting was overall good but some of the kids came across as pretty amateur. Some scenes were pretty clunky. Although, the main kid actor was pretty amazing and believable. As a father I definitely felt the heart strings being tugged at a few times. Overall, worth watching but there’s really nothing fresh or new here. Just character’s with their own versions of demons to deal with. With so many other baseball movies that have covered the underdog trope, I’m not sure this will be a classic worth watching multiple times. See more Deborah P @RT67552226 10/22/2024 We are 13-year-old twins living in the UK, but we were born in NYC. We have bilateral cochlear implants because we were born deaf. We have watched the movie many times because we love watching sports and seeing other kids like us playing with everyone. The movie is great because it also talks about friendship and how you can overcome difficulties with friends. We would love to go to that summer camp one day 😊 The role of the coach is amazing. He believed in the potential of all the kids, regardless of their differences or problems. We organized a movie night with our English friends to watch the film together. It’s awesome, and we recommend it to all kids! Now we’re also using the idea of wearing our hats inside out and backwards, like the baseball players do in the movie. The struggles of dealing with disability and/or anxiety are real! The resilience and strength it took to overcome the obstacles standing in the way were incredible and inspiring. It reminded me of my own strength as a person with a disability. I had an extraordinary coach who had two extraordinary children that played with us! Fast forward about 30-40 years when a book was written by members of this family (based off true events). This book is now a movie. I watched it today for the first time and let me tell you…it gave me ALL the feels! It’s been a long time since I’ve watched a heartfelt family friendly movie that we could all take a lesson from. At a bare minimum-this movie reminds us to remember the power of hope, hard work, determination, patience, resilience, and humanity! If you have not watched RALLY CAPS on Prime or APPLE tv… I highly encourage you to do so. You’ll especially enjoy all the references to our O’s!!!
