It may not break the mold or even crack the top ten, but Red Water is more competently made than most other low-tier shark movies. Go to Full Review

An over-written adventure film that features an on-the-loose man-eating shark that can survive in fresh water. Go to Full Review

Mar 15, 2020 Loved it ever since I was a kid, even though it's not a great movie. However, the decent acting, impressive shark animatronics, and fast plot make it an enjoyable time and put it miles above most made-for-television movies. The plot is simple and the script is goofy at times, but it's hard not to like Lou Diamond Phillips playing the badass role. Forget the relative lack of character development and turn off your brain to enjoy this charming monster flick. Laugh too at some quotes, because that's what TV movies are for! See more
don s @RT97868663 Nov 27, 2014 This is a made for cable TV movie so the production values are not high and there are obvious breaks for where commercials would be. Lou Diamond Phillips is an apt actor and Kristy Swanson looks great. The story is tepid, but there are numerous shark attacks with lots of blood effects. Not great, but not terrible for what it is. Aug 28, 2014 pretty good shark movie See more
Jul 27, 2014 The movie had potential but failed to meet it. The shark was so fake and it had characteristics of a bull shark and a great white. See more
Dec 14, 2013 You would think a film with Kristy Swanson, Coolio, and Richie Valens would be decent but nope. Even SyFy could have made a more realistic shark. See more
