Alex Claremont-Diaz (Taylor Zakhar Perez), the son of the President of the United States (Uma Thurman), and Britain's Prince Henry (Nicholas Galitzine) have a lot in common: Stunning good looks, undeniable charisma, international popularity... and a total disdain for each other. Separated by an ocean, their long-running feud hasn't really been an issue, until a disastrous--and very public--altercation at a royal event becomes tabloid fodder, driving a potential wedge in U.S./British relations at the worst possible time. Going into damage-control mode, their families and handlers force the two rivals into a staged "truce." But as Alex and Henry's icy relationship unexpectedly begins to thaw into a tentative friendship, the friction that existed between them sparks something deeper than they ever expected. Based on Casey McQuiston's critically acclaimed New York Times best seller, Red, White & Royal Blue marks the feature film writing and directing debut of Tony Award-winning playwright Matthew López (The Inheritance).

It's a successful romantic comedy that, despite using several of the commonplaces of this type of film, has several ingredients that make it extremely attractive and effective. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Red, White & Royal Blue fails at being a fun romantic comedy and also purely romantic. The energy isn’t there in front and behind the camera. Go to Full Review

Mostly, it’s just a lot of fun, with a romance you can root for and a prince whose fairy tale ending feels satisfyingly uncomplicated. Go to Full Review

Madie R @MRoss94 3d Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine carry the film effortlessly. Their enemies-to-lovers dynamic unfolds naturally, balancing witty banter with genuine emotional vulnerability. The relationship never feels rushed, and as their walls begin to crumble, the film earns every heartfelt moment. Their chemistry is the kind that makes even the quieter conversations just as compelling as the grand romantic gestures. "You can hate Prince Henry all you want, but the minute you see a camera, you better act like the sun shines out of his ass and you have a vitamin D deficiency." Verdict: A heartfelt, endlessly charming romance that succeeds because it embraces sincerity over cynicism. With magnetic leads, sharp humor, and a hopeful message, Red, White & Royal Blue is one of the most delightful modern rom-coms in recent years. Also, if you haven't read the book I would highly recommend it! See more Jasmine W @jasniquejewels 6d love these two so much! Taylor and Nicholas were perfect for the roles of Alex and Henry their chemistry and love story was amazing they had me giggling blushing kicking my feet they were so cute. They portrayed their characters so well that I felt the sadness and happiness between them the museum scene almost made me cry it was so beautiful the casting was great Sarah as Zahra such a queen her scenes were hilarious also Uma Thurman as president iconic she has my vote. I do wish that they made this a series or made it longer and kept some of the parts from the book in overall can't wait to be watching this again. See more Fork K @Fork.Knife Aug 30 Its very good! Reminds me a lot of Young Royals! If you havent watched that go watch it! Besides that i realy like the actors and caracters! Henry is my favourite! The book is also very good See more Justyna G @jgruszkos Aug 29 I wanted to like this movie but it’s so bad that it could be a manual on how not to write and direct a movie to begin with. Half a star for the chemistry between the two leads who at least make it look like their relationship is genuine. Everything else is a disaster. From political correctness in every scene and character, to the supporting characters being complete parodies. Every woman in this movie is flawless and powerful, every man (including the male leads) is hopeless, clueless idiot that can’t do anything without the help of a much more superior woman. Dialogues sound like they were written by a teenager during a hurried lunch break, acting (if you can call it that way) is one of the worst I ever saw and the sheer stupidity of the plot is mind blowing. The only reason to watch (parts of) this movie is if you want to see two handsome guys making out See more Witor T @RT18199942 Aug 26 Uma obra-prima apaixonante que prova que o amor não tem fronteiras nem títulos. See more Laura F @russellbustle Jul 22 The 2023 romantic comedy “Red, White, and Royal Blue” deals with some real tone and pacing inconsistencies. They should bother me more than they do. But the joy of it all pushes those problems to the side. I blame the cast for my happiness. They appear to be having maximum fun at every opportunity. It’s also an exceptionally gifted group. Noisy applause for Taylor Zakhar-Perez (USA First Son Alex Claremont-Diaz); Nicholas Galitzine (England’s Prince Henry); Uma Thurman (President Ellen Claremont; Rachel Hilson (Nora Holleran); and Clifton Collins, Jr., as Oscar Diaz. The second film is due in summer/fall 2026. As long as most of the actors from RWRB are on board, that’s my version of a happy ending. A footnote regarding believability: someone like Ellen Claremont could happen. See more Read all reviews
