Philippe Delambre has been wrestling with his family legacy for years, knowing that his father perished as a result of his experiments in teleportation. Though warned by his uncle Francois, Philippe insists on refurbishing his father's laboratory and continuing his investigations. The idea would be bad enough on its own, but Philippe hires an assistant who calls himself Alan Hinds but is actually a wanted criminal.

Aside from a few horrific moments in a mortuary and the sick guinea pig experiment, director Edward Bernds sadly stresses plot gimmicks at the expense of an involving story.

Violence is similarly more frequent and graphic, but it's the anticipated and appropriately ghastly climactic reveal - all too familiar in design yet tremendously satisfying - that proves to be a genuine crowd-pleaser.

This sequel movie is not as much fun as its predecessor. But it does have Vincent Price appearing as the Uncle in both films, so that counts as a freebie on my shlockstick cinema Bingo card.

This is an old film but it actually looked quite good. The monster fly outfit was a little goofy but actually pretty cool. Certainly not comparable to The Fly II (1989) but still a fun monster costume. The sound was nothing amazing, the dialogue was a little tough to understand at times. This did make it harder to watch. The story is definitely weaker than the original and even the sequel to the remake. It is a very weak story. It basically is just the son continuing the father’s research but with a different (weaker) ending and framing story. This is one film that can be forgotten by time.

Still a classic concept. Tho not as good as the original, still interesting. & VINCENT PRICE in it. Giving it at least 3.5 RT stars. Saw it on the tv set 10.13.23. Note to sef, pay close attention to 1st haf.
