When a Chinese diplomat's daughter is kidnapped in Los Angeles, he calls in Hong Kong Detective Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) to assist the FBI with the case. But the FBI doesn't want anything to do with Lee, and they dump him off on the LAPD, who assign wisecracking Detective James Carter (Chris Tucker) to watch over him. Although Lee and Carter can't stand each other, they choose to work together to solve the case on their own when they figure out they've been ditched by both the FBI and police.

9/10. Rush Hour is a hilarious and action-packed buddy-cop movie with incredible chemistry between Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. The combination of martial arts, comedy, and exciting action makes it incredibly entertaining. Their completely different personalities make the movie even funnier, turning it into a memorable late-90s classic.

In Brazil, in particular, the film is considered one of the best comedies ever made. The story features action, suspense, plenty of laughs, and fun. The actors are excellent, and the film boasts a spectacular plot, complete with fight scenes and unique dialogue. I wholeheartedly recommend watching it; it’s perfect for a family movie night.

Synopsis
