Disappointed in both main actors, thier other movies were so much more superior..... Never watch again. I enjoyed all of Pierce Brosnan’s gritty tactics and the unfolding legitimacy of Liam Neeson’s reason for hunting him down so ruthlessly. Certain characters didn’t even seem real- perhaps they were apparitions in the desert. I think the primary issue was the drawn-out nature of it all, with various scenarios that didn’t particularly develop the plot and just seemed to extend the length of the hunt between the two men. The story ends in this kind of macabre fever dream that is very reminiscent of classic westerns, which I liked, though I see some watchers didn't. It's gonna stay in my collection. I do think they could've done a bit more with it but still it draws me in forgetting everything around me and that's what a movie is supposed to do for me. The acting is superb especially Pierce Brosnan who steals the show. It seems to be a cautionary tale about revenge and violence and i don't mind it when a movie has a message like that in it. The scenery is also breathtaking. The landscapes remind me of the westerns of old. Also the landscapes are being used as an analogy of the situations the characters are in since it's going from ice cold to scorching heat in a gradual way . Also it has some subtle supernatural elements in it and I love that in the western platform. 4,5 out of 5 for me. See more Helen E @nuschler121 03/31/2025 Let’s see.
