Culminating in a carnival-esque party for the local residents, Shabu tells a story about what it means to say sorry and do the right thing by the people that matter – and that’s something many of us could learn from, no matter our age.

The film skates in the grey area between factual and fiction film-making, but Shabu’s coming of age and growth as a human being is persuasive, affecting and authentic.

- EIDF2022

This is a very unusual film, about a teenage lad wracked with guilt. If you like music, you'll probably like this. You can't tell how the movie will end!
