Priyanka O @Velora May 30, 2026 Son of Sardaar is a lively entertainer packed with comedy, action, and colorful Punjabi vibes. The performances are enjoyable, the humor is lighthearted, and the film never takes itself too seriously. It's a perfect watch when you're looking for pure entertainment and a few good laughs. Nathan J. @TribianiRamoray Apr 18, 2026 Rating: 5.5/10 ⭐️ I expected a standard Bollywood flick, but got a super wild mix of slapstick and family drama. What Worked: The cinematography gives the vibrant Punjab colors and action blocking a comic-book texture I totally dug. Upbeat music blended right into the chaotic framing keeps the momentum high. Watching Jassi choose forgiveness to break a decades-long feud beautifully mirrors my Methodist values of peacemaking, reminding us that ending hostility takes real strength. The Cuts: The middle part really dragged for me with repetitive cat-and-mouse gags making the script feel super bloated. The rough CGI physics in the big fights totally pulled me out, even for an exaggerated comedy. Plus, the romance felt so rushed; I just didn’t buy their instant chemistry enough to care about the emotional stakes. Verdict: A colorful comedy that trips over its own runtime. Fun for mindless action, but skip if you want a tight storyline. Favorite Line: “A guest is akin to God.” See more

Ahmed M @neverOddorEven Apr 25, 2016 One of the worst Bollywood movies, in recent times. It has a weak plot, it is so bad that at moments you will forget what's going on in the movie. The performances by the actors are horrible, and the comedy scenes are not funny at all. See more

Apr 5, 2014 Son of Sardaar is for lovers of hardcore masala movies. If you liked Wanted, Dabangg and Rowdy Rathore, chances are you will relish Son of Sardaar as well. The North Indian audiences in particular and those residing abroad will be simply delighted by this chatpata, masaledaar fare. See more
