Blu B @RT43513976 5 days ago I see why this is considered the worst of the franchise and it's easy to understand why this killed it for so long. I still have to give it to Curse of the Pink Panther but this is close. This is basically a soft reboot more than a sequel really. The biggest strike is the plot is so ridiculous and stupid that there is no way even the most skilled director could ever make this funny or work. Skip this. Benigni is terrible here and pretty much everyone. This is as far from a Life is Beautiful performance as you can possible get. And it's not just him everyone is bad here. If there is a silver lining it's that it's not THE WORST humor ever but it's just run of the mill bad cartoonish stuff. The humor is bad slapstick and dumb humor that's like a cartoon that's just not funny. It gives me a lot of appreciation for how Naked Gun does this type of humor so much better and makes it look so easy. The cinematography is terrible, the music is subpar, editing isn't good, horrifcally bad pacing. See more Robert P @Superbad Sep 26, 2026 Son of the Pink Panther = a *1* star Movie! See more Melissa L @Agent99 Jun 9, 2026 I watched this because the creator of the "Pink Panther", Blake Edwards, wrote this and directed this. It was funny at times, but it has more not exactly slaptsick violence than the Peter Sellers' movies. It's not too bad, though. See more Robson C @RT82519826 May 5, 2026 A princesa Yasmin, de Lugash, é sequestrada, e os criminosos exigem US$ 100 milhões e a abdicação do rei. See more Petros T @PetrosTserpelis Apr 17, 2025 Roberto Benigni is mostly quite decent as Inspector Clouseau's son, and the film is not without its funny slapstick moments bringing the old movies to mind. Also, Herbert Lom, in his last film before retirement, is a reassuring presence, and it's great to have Graham Stark play Auguste Balls again. However, the overblown and not very well-thought-out action plot seems a bit loud for this kind of film, which certainly puts a damper on the proceedings, and the humour doesn't always land very well. Whoever greenlit this movie should be hung by their privates. Horrible acting acting, insipid plot, unfunny. Avoid like the plague. See more Read all reviews
