I tried watching Stowaway and didn’t even make it to the part where they find the guy before tapping out. That’s how bad it was. It looks like it wants to be a serious space movie, but then they’re launching into space wearing helmets with motorcycle visors, flipping them up like they’re on a casual ride. Also, "artificial gravity" is low budget lazy writing.

I honestly didn't even finish watching it. It is such a predictable movie of everything goes bad and just when you think things are getting better, everything goes wrong again. For example: Spoiler alert, when they need oxygen, find it and suddenly there's a solar flare screwing up the plans. I really hate unoriginal movies like this.

Stowaway is built around a strong, immediately engaging premise: a confined space mission, a limited crew, and an impossible moral dilemma. The film wisely avoids spectacle and focuses instead on ethical questions and psychological tension. While this restrained approach is refreshing, it also becomes its main limitation. The pacing is often too slow, and moments that should tighten the tension never fully do. Performances are solid and help sustain the claustrophobic atmosphere, but the emotional impact remains muted. The central dilemma is compelling in theory, yet its execution feels somewhat forced and less human than intended. By the end, the film feels thoughtful and well-crafted, but emotionally distant. Interesting and respectable, but not as powerful as its concept suggests.
