With its lyrical approach to a deliberate pace, the movie develops a hypnotic effect even when deceptively little happens. Go to Full Review Andrea Gronvall Chicago Reader May 26, 2016

If Take Me to the River, which follows an appearance in last year's The Stanford Prison Experiment, represents part of [Logan] Miller's attempt to shed his teen idol image, it's a good start. Go to Full Review Michael J. Casey Michael J. Cinema Aug 5, 2021

John W. @RT41179890 May 22, 2026 Disturbing. Very disturbing. See more Jon R. @JuantheBaptist Apr 30, 2026 Give me my time back. See more Avery S. @RT37704506 Mar 21, 2026 Don't watch this. SPOILER ALERT! They have a small child act out an adult scene and the ending was very weird and make the whole movie seem useless. See more C R F @RT33117049 Mar 21, 2026 Slow, painful and highly uncomfortable to watch. To have a child act this out nomatter how real the scaenario may be in the world is just sick and disgusting. The overacting of the mother without any hint at context and the intense silence of the entire movie doesn't help either. Honestly the worst. See more SILENT D @RT49335286 Mar 17, 2026 Do not waste your time with this movie. Movie made me kinda mad. If I could rate this movie lower I would. The movie is overall cheeks straight cheeks. It's also pretty weird imagine having a minor grinding on a what 23 year old not to mention a very mid ending. I did like the idea of the story a little the I can't come out cause family is homophobic part but the rest as I said straight booty cheeks. See more Kathern S @katiemay51 Feb 7, 2026 The movie was very secretive, so secretive that I never caught what the secret was. I was guessing throughout the entire movie See more Read all reviews
