Sadly, it ultimately builds to a would-be shocking twist that is not nearly the game-changer it claims to be, leaving viewers with more questions than answers. Go to Full Review

The Astronaut has a lot going for it, but, like the lead character in the opening scenes, it doesn’t quite stick the landing. Go to Full Review

Varley’s grip, her taut observation of nerve-wracking isolation, loosens and the film devolves into a blunt and clichéd consideration of family. The transition is awkward, and more cartoonish than moving, as the performers try to regain their footing. Go to Full Review

The Astronaut fails to sustain the complexity of its own questions. The feeling it leaves us with is that of a story that could have gone much further had it embraced its ambiguity until the end. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Architecture fans will surely enjoy the gorgeous glass-walled house with its stunning green views; the film's finale is effective, too. But there's a chance you'll have aborted this mission long before that arrives. Go to Full Review

Todd M @RT40000272 20h Watched on a flight home yesterday. Thankfully this movie was the only thing rough about the flight. So many holes in the story I stopped counting. There were also to many attempts at the jump scare that failed each time. Best part of the movie was that it was fairly shirt, only about 90 minutes. It also followed the woke model( ie no white males). See more Daniel L @RT24087858 1d Average. Ok story, ok build up and an interesting twist at the end but overall it was poorly executed. Felt like it was very low budget. Could have been better with better writers. See more Phil L @Phillllll 4d Half a movie, no plot, utterly pointless. See more David B @RT99955311 6d It had potential and like many that have commented here. The beginning is really quite good but it becomes messy halfway through and the payoff at the end isn’t nearly as satisfying as you think it should be. Astronaut becomes alien, becomes boring. See more Lyndsey M @RT04499920 6d I watched half of this on a plane. First half was really good so I finished it at home. I wish I didn’t. The plot twist at the end is terrible and makes no sense. I like Kate Mara and Laurence Fishborne, I can’t believe they would sign up for this movie. See more Jay L. @Jay.Livin 6d A fairly entertaining movie, although the ending was very underwhelming and left me with more questions than answers. I would probably recommend this movie if there was more backstory from the father’s perspective or just more backstory on Sam’s life in general. See more Read all reviews
