Jeanne J @RT80212438 3 days ago This movie got fairly poor reviews but it wasn’t that bad. No nuance to the characters, you get what you see, but l did forget that l was watching John Travolta. I didn’t guess the ending, which l usually do and l was pleasantly surprised by JT’s performance. I’ve worked for 10 years with vulnerable adults and whilst l enjoyed it, there were times l was concerned for my safety. JT’s rocking is how some cope with stress. Others mocked the ‘pudding bowl’ hair cut; it wasn’t though; Examining, you can see that the home haircut was a questionable but relevant mullet, very neat in the front, for his haircut skills, and messy at the back where he can’t reach. Details like this were all over the movie, giving us clues to characters. Yes, holes; evidence, the female friend too tolerant of scary behaviour…What does rankle a little is that all actors want a neuro diverse on their CV, a role too obvious and overdone now. John Travolta's acting in this movie is horrific even if you somehow ignore how problematic the character is. I cannot get back the time I wasted watching this movie. There are too many plot holes and the ending wraps up in a messy, nonsensical way. John Travolta and Devon Sawa did the best they could, given the crapshow they were given. There’s nothing thrilling or scary about this film, just a not well-thought out script thrown together with a sad Limp Bizkit plug in the soundtrack.
