Knowl 4 @RT62961761 May 13, 2026 There’s only one explanation for the low ratings from "professional critics", they simply didn’t understand the film. And to be fair, The Fountain isn’t easy. It’s not a movie you watch passively, it’s one you decode. I won’t spoil anything here, but I guarantee that once the structure clicks, you get that "ahh, now it all makes sense" moment. And it does make sense. All of it. Beyond that, the film is stunning. The direction is bold and meticulous, the performances are exceptional, this might be one of Hugh Jackman’s finest, and visually it’s absolutely brilliant. It’s the kind of film that rewards attention, not the kind that hands everything on a plate. Maybe that’s why some critics didn’t get it. See more

Artur P @RT18658129 Mar 22, 2026 I thought it would be another cheesy film with Hugh Jackman, but I was wrong and at the same time, very surprised. Big applause for the movie director and the entire crew; they made a fantastic and intense film with their own theory, probably based on Buddhist traditions, about what happens in the afterlife. I don’t want to spoil too much, but if you are a fan of Christopher Nolan-style 'mindfks'**, the same thing happens here. You will enjoy it! See more

See more
