Ever since Carmela's father received a restraining order, they have only been able to meet under supervision at a family meeting point. Her father, whom she adores, is accused of gender-based violence against Carmela's mother. Carmela struggles not only to come to terms with her new family situation but also to feel understood and loved like her friends.
