Britt Reid (Seth Rogen), the heir to the largest newspaper fortune in Los Angeles, is a spoiled playboy who has been, thus far, happy to lead an aimless life. After his father (Tom Wilkinson) dies, Britt meets Kato (Jay Chou), a resourceful company employee. Critics Consensus

It's sporadically entertaining, but The Green Hornet never approaches the surreal heights suggested by a Michel Gondry/Seth Rogen collaboration.

[It] clocks in at a bloated 118 minutes. There is not, I promise you, 118 minutes worth of vital plot, special effects or comic business in this movie.

Aside from a brief split-screen sequence and a few deft special-effects, there's almost no sizzle to this goofy take on superheroics.

Part origin story, part spoof, part bromance -- the movie can't decide. It winks at itself constantly, but only to hide its cluelessness.

Gondry’s film is a postmodern blast […] and well worth the wait for fans of the source material.

What The Green Hornet does better than all these films is making superheroes uncool - and there's nothing that's even a bit super about that...

An unserious enjoyable hero movie. I like Rogen, Waltz, Diaz and Harbour. Shallow material but fun cast. Chou is great in the mask.

The Green Hornet (2011) This was the first film that Columbia Pictures released in January 2011, but it was poorly received by critics at the time. I found it quite fun at times, the beginning is rather weak and boring, but the character Kato is adorable.

I saw this was a bunch of friends and we were really disappointed that year worst movie of 2011🤬 they concentrate way too much on the humor in the fights were really lame ☠️

The first scene was funny, then after that, the movie didn't hold my interest as much. The story idea is unique though.
