It’s all very messagey and well intentioned... But there’s a distinct lack of wit about the whole thing that puts the weight firmly on the side of earnestness rather than fun.

The screenplay from Reza Memari is uncomplex, and loads up a series of colourful characters to propel its simple narrative.

Some decidedly down-market animation from Germany with a little light environmental messaging and a whole lotta "Finding Nemo" borrowing.

Our 6 year old grandson wanted to leave halfway through the movie. It just wasn’t very engaging. We stayed and it got a bit better but I would not recommend it.

My 4 year old lasted about 45 minutes before asking to leave. It's borning, bland, and has quite a lot of scary and dark bits in the first half. There were only about 10 people in the cinema, but by the time we left, there were only two left.
