Critics Consensus

The Letters tries to honor Mother Teresa with an unstintingly positive portrayal of her life and works, but ends up smothering a fascinating real-life story under a bland hagiography.

[Juliet] Stevenson plays Mother Teresa from age 35 to 70 with a believability and resonance that radiates from within. The depth of conviction and humility which she imbues in the character took my breath away... Powerful fragility at its finest. Go to Full Review Morgan Rojas Cinemacy Aug 6, 2018

Stephen J @RT55324942 Dec 31, 2017 Mother Teresa is one of my heroes. This film makes you feel like your in the events. See more May 12, 2017 This movie was a bit of a let down. I truly believe that Mother Teresa deserves to have movies made about her, but this one seems slow and sluggish. However, I think that the worst thing about it is that it wasn't as informative as I was hoping for. It has a few good moments, but ultimately I was not impressed with it. See more Mar 31, 2017 Mother Theresa is a Saint and this film is about her devotion to Christ and her calling to Love the poor and destitute in society....it's an inspiration and a joy to watch because it's not just another Hollywood movie. 4 stars See more Feb 18, 2017 interesting look at the life of Mother Theresa, but, the movie isn't terribly exciting See more Nov 28, 2016 Simple without fireworks but keeps plot in line See more Sep 6, 2016 Mother Teresa is a saint, you know?
