Bryan J @RT04873241 3 days ago Really mindless, even for a horror/gore flick, but if you like gore it might make it tolerable. See more Chris T @ctorres9451 Oct 28, 2026 Since 2000, Australia, Japan, and most notably S Korea have been making far superior horror, suspense/thriller films than Europe and America's. No DEI and Marcus virtue-signaling, less political, just straight up filmmaking. Usually not bogged down by big star contracts and studio interference. Also, they tend not to depend on CGI. Nothing suspends belief better than CGI blood/gore, fire, and car crashes: even the best look fake. Practical effects have yet to be bested. Another great example of go for the throat filmmaking not meant to appease anyone and not greenlit by committee. Here to entertain (and sometimes think). Great period horror flick with some good 80s 80s rock on soundtrack. Jessica McNamee stuns and scorches in a supporting role, but the movie belongs to Robin McLeavy's delirious performance. Darkly funny with no wasted time or apologies. See more Gareth V @geewah Oct 13, 2026 The Loved Ones is nasty, funny and memorable, and McLeavy’s performance alone makes it a must for horror fans. See more Robert P @Superbad Oct 5, 2026 The Loved ones is a *4* star Movie! See more Doozy T @RT09963185 Sep 10, 2026 I can't even imagine the mental Olympics and coping that people had to do to try to justify this abomination of a film. This is absolute garbage. This feels like a high School student's entry into their own independent film on their first foray ever. Acting is shit directing is shit production is shit the sound is shit. This movie is absolute garbage. See more Fabio P @Ceppaflex Sep 4, 2026 The film isn't bad, but ultimately it's the same old stuff. The actors are good, but some completely superfluous subplots and a predictable ending make it an enjoyable film, but nothing more. See more Read all reviews
