Previously thought to be extinct, a massive creature attacks a deep-sea submersible, leaving it disabled and trapping the crew at the bottom of the Pacific. Asks little more of you than to strap in, put away your phone and enjoy watching a freakishly huge prehistoric eating machine terrorize some scientists before it turns its appetite to a beach full of frolickers on floaties.

The Meg is an enjoyable movie if you don’t go in with lofty expectations for a movie about a giant shark that eats a bunch of people. It is the epitome of general audience popcorn fair, and an amusing spectacle.

I won't demand much of a shark film, I had really low expectations, but it exceeded a bit. The CGI and underwater atmosphere were the big point of this film. Despite the really short length of the film the story feels too dragged, but as always Jason Statham makes a great performance on action. The film is cruel and won't spare even the most charismatic characters, wich made it more likeable for me.
