Robert P @Superbad Oct 18, 2026 The Report is a 4.5 star Movie! See more COS M @CosMovies Sep 23, 2026 A riveting, brilliantly told political thriller about truth, morality, accountability, and the courage required to confront powerful institutions. Adam Driver is extraordinary as Daniel Jones, bringing remarkable intensity to a man whose relentless commitment to the truth becomes the moral center of the story, while Annette Bening gives a superb performance as Senator Dianne Feinstein. What makes the film so powerful is its central irony: the individual working within government remains committed to truth, law, and accountability while the institutions created to serve the American people become entangled in secrecy, political agendas, self-preservation, and the protection of their own interests. Democrats and Republicans may stand on opposite sides politically, yet the story shows how party interests can compete with the deeper responsibility of government to serve its citizens and uphold the principles upon which the country was founded. A powerful and intelligent masterpiece. See more Agustin G @RT57326730 Aug 24, 2026 The movie is good, it gets you interested and the subject is very dark underneath. The problem for me is that has schewed politics, of course since the CIA carried enhanced interrogation under the Republicans then it was devilish but when the Dems were ordering drone attacks on weddings of course it was necessary. War is evil and to win it you have to do evil things, the Psychiatrists were the evil ones in this since they sanctioned torture (enhanced interrogation like water boarding, sleep deprivation, uncomfortable positions for hours on end) without proof they could extract intelligence. Torture gives you confessions but not the truth and of course the CIA were denying and burying this procedures nothing new See more Gloria M @GloryTimes Aug 17, 2026 Stumble upon this movie unexpectedly. It hooks the viewer from the first moment. Some topics addressed in the movie are disgustingly disturbing from a conciouncicus prospective. It is a deep dive on how the dirty business of running a country is handled. Well acted and directed. See more Pedro Henrique C @Pedro2005 May 24, 2026 The Report (2019) It's a very complex film that requires a lot of patience and understanding of what's really happening in the movie. Adam Driver's performance It's spectacular in every way. This was the golden age of Amazon Studios in film. See more Jeff P. @jeffperu Nov 20, 2025 The Report tells the gripping true story of Senate staffer Daniel Jones as he leads a years-long investigation into the CIA’s enhanced-interrogation program following 9/11. Tasked by Senator Dianne Feinstein to uncover the truth, Jones works through millions of classified documents, slowly piecing together a disturbing history of torture, human rights violations, and misinformation. As the scope of the program becomes clearer, Jones faces relentless pushback from within the government. Agencies stonewall his efforts, politicians fear the fallout of public disclosure, and the truth threatens to destabilize powerful institutions. The film lays bare the grim reality of how difficult it is to bring truth to light, especially when national security becomes a shield used to obscure responsibility. It exposes the cruelty inflicted in the name of protection and underscores that the harshest interrogation techniques failed to produce meaningful intelligence. The narrative highlights some of America’s weakest moments and the reluctance of leaders to admit fault, even when confronted with overwhelming evidence. The acting is strong throughout, portraying both those who opposed the interrogation program and those who defended it, convinced that the ends justified the means. Adam Driver delivers an exceptional performance as Daniel Jones, capturing the determination, isolation, and moral burden of a man navigating a system built to silence him. If the film has one flaw, it’s that it jumps directly into the procedural story without much introduction to the characters, which can make the opening feel slightly chaotic. But once you settle in, the intensity takes hold, and it becomes nearly impossible to look away. A sobering, tense, and deeply important film. 88/100 See more Read all reviews
