I do not understand all the bad reviews from critics because this is an excellent movie. Nothing wrong with a movie that emphasizes hope. It is a movie, therefore, a work of fiction. Today in 2026, I am betting a whole lot of people are searching for hope. Even if it is for just a little while. I love this movie.

I dont know why all the bad reviews, I absolutely love this movie. It's one of my favorites. The acting is great, the writing is good and it's a great reminder to have faith, hope and look for your joy. Maybe bad reviews because they're mainly male reviews. I think this is a great movie for women who love romance and hope. And I think many of can relate to.the struggles we all face. And men too who love romance. Beautiful. It also contains a song that I love.

I was prepared to like this movie. Until the plot got stupid in the first 15 minutes. Hurricanes come in late summer. New Orleans has temperatures of 95 degrees and warmer. So why were characters wearing sweaters and jackets? smdh...

The messaging is extremely uplifting and champions the reality that people are capable of change, and therefore capable of changing their circumstances. Though the vibe of the film becomes Hallmarkish at times, the performances are believable and most of the characters are endearing. I've seen this film 7 plus times and will continue to make it a staple in our family.
