Kev 2d Overall the film was a generic action period piece. It was very well done and a very breezy pacing, i never found myself getting bored. The strong point was the performances from Andrew Garfield and woody Norman. The film was very enjoyable but nothing groundbreaking, I recommend watching it. See more Ghederick Eshmont 2d This is a brilliant, nuanced film from one of the great espionage filmmakers. Andrew Garfield’s performance in navigating the dichotomy in the virtue of Ploughman versus the radicalism within movement he ignites is perfectly played See more Dylan D @its_dylan 1d It was great, Only Negative I have is the cinematography See more Steve D @SteveRN 1d Good movie. The only negative for me was the dialog. They did a good job of speaking "old english" but it was difficult to understand what was said at times. Frequently the actors spoke as they turned around and their voices became faint. I had to "work" more than I liked to try to understand the conversations. Less heavy on the accents would have been nice. Overall, good movie! Lots of action, great period wardrobe, castle and homes. See more Giovanni P @imgiovanni 2d This is a very good and timely historical movie about the reign of terror in England under King Richard II, the Mad Boy King. Read up on your history a little bit before and it will help you understand the situation when the Peasant Uprising occurred during the Hundred Year War and after the Black Death, which killed millions. Farmers and poor people were tired of being taxed by the king and rose up against him. And then he betrayed them. Andrew Garfield is great, he just needed some more dialogue but he gets going in the second half and delivers another excellent performance. See more Liam R @WaterMeLoan64 2d It’s a grand departure from the Robin Hood myth but strangely endearing. See more Read all reviews
