Critics Consensus

The Wrecking Crew is as brawny and disarmingly charming as its two leading men, smashing through a thin story with colorful pyrotechnics and a satisfying amount of attitude.

Momoa and Bautista, who respectively play a loose-cannon cop and disciplinarian special forces operative, have fun with the action sequences and put some genuine effort into the fractured sibling dynamic. Go to Full Review

Soto blends these bits of comedy, drama, action, suspense, and style into a movie that's a real banger. Here's hoping we get a sequel. Go to Full Review

This lean, mean, R-rated action machine is better than you'd think since Momoa and Bautista take the time, between fights and jokes, to examine the bruised places in the hearts of these half brothers. You feel for them, and that makes all the difference. Go to Full Review

There’s not much in "The Wrecking Crew" that will catch you by surprise...But Momoa and Bautista bring enough of their charisma and chemistry to make this by-the-book buddy action-comedy click. Go to Full Review

Ryan C. @djrmc24 6h The Wrecking Crew didn’t exactly scratch the action film itch I was looking for but it was decent. The action was brutal, plenty, and over the top bit could have done with less CGI in most scenes and relied on more practical effects. Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa have solid chemistry here and a lot of fun banter back and forth. I got a sense of early 90’s buddy action flick feel here with an over the top plot with tons of explosions. If you’re a fan of Bautista and Mamoa, you will probably enjoy this. The Wrecking Crew doesn’t raise the bar or anything but does just enough. 3 stars out of 5. See more L.M. S @Author_LM_Smith 8h Just watched The Wrecking Crew with Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista and it was FANTASTIC! Best movie in DECADES! It was like if Jackie Chan and Quinten Tarantino had co-directed Boondock Saints in Hawaii. Comedy 10/10 Action 10/10 Combat 10/10 Effects 9/10 Plot predictable but still 8/10 MUST WATCH!!! See more Harlling G @pandaman8821 10h Es una buena pelicula de acciona y comedia , pero creo que exageraron con las groserías , sacando eso disfrute mucho la peliula ! See more Svit G @libitel 11h The movie is predictable und a bit hard to watch at moments. Sadly another movie that didn't give Jason a chance at good acting but displayed him in a looser fashion. However it was enthertaining to watch And did give me some good laughs. perfect for a lazy night when you0 feel like watching somthing violent and funny. (was close between three and three and a half) See more Larry C. @MDTerps42 11h The film is genuinely entertaining and delivers some well-timed laughs. That said, it often feels like it’s trying a bit too hard to take itself seriously instead of simply embracing the fun. Dave Bautista, who is typically a scene-stealer with his comedic timing, takes on a more grounded role here, while Jason Momoa steps into the spotlight as the carefree, unpredictable black-sheep type who does whatever he wants and walks away unscathed. The action sequences are strong and well-executed, and the plot is solid enough to keep things moving. However, most of the story beats are fairly predictable, with only one moment that truly catches you off guard. Overall, it’s an enjoyable action-comedy that I’d recommend for a fun watch—but it doesn’t quite rise to the level of a must-see. See more Kyle M 15h An actual case of uncertain utilization. Besides being predictably trite, there’s sporadic certification in what the film tries to offer in between the action comedy, not to mention being senselessly violent, whilst headlined by its two leads’ reputable calibers in an underwhelming mixture partial of the pitiful blend. It’s still enjoyable at an okay level based on the decent amount of laughs and sequential engagement also having that very mixture. (B-) See more Read all reviews
