Director Yeon Sang-ho makes smart use of the cramped quarters, and while it's true that his zombies' abilities tend to vary according to the requirements of the moment, it's easy to overlook amid the onslaught of action and emotion.

Many of the film’s great images capture the tenderness of parental love: a close-up of a father’s hand holding his daughter’s, a husband glancing back at his wife and in his dying breaths suggesting a name to his pregnant wife for their coming child...

Why is it more exciting than "Seoul Station"? I was told that I would enjoy a live action movie more than the animated one. In some ways, this could hit more harder than the prequel; instead of focusing on a group of people, it focuses on a man with his daughter. The mother of that family went away. I really found it interesting about the adventure set to survive a powerful apocalypse: on public trains. It has big action through hiding in bathroom's or even hiding above stowaways. I like how there is cooperation in this movie like when a man told one to look after the woman for him - shows scarification & he believed he would not survive anyway. But, there is selfishness, the old lady believes when those for thought for themselves to survive & do not deserve to live I actually find movies with sad endings rather interesting: movies ending with hope can be overrated. ONE MORE TIME: the man seemed to have sacrificed himself for his daughter. At least the woman & child was safe...

Train to Busan is such a brilliant, intense, and heartbreaking film that masterfully balances high-octane action with raw, human emotion. By stripping away the typical invincibility of action heroes and focusing on the desperate survival of a father and daughter, it transcends the usual tropes to become the best kind of horror film. It perfectly illustrates why Korean horror just hits different, blending social commentary with a relentless pace that leaves you breathless and, eventually, in tears.
