Iain W @RT81164875 2d This film does a decent attempt at showing the dangers of online grooming, and is an uncomfortable watch at times as a result. It seems to be trying to draw some parallels with the youth of some advertising models, and the penchant some older men have for younger women (the bar scene), but doesn't really seek any payoff for these ideas and they could have just as easily been left out. Some things are a bit up-in-the-air - the father stealing evidence to support his own investigations, and there being no punishment feels like something which slipped through. Overall the film manages to reach it's conclusion without feeling rushed - characters get to their final outlook sensibly, and the film doesn't try to end with a happy ending which is good. Maybe not a great movie, but these days it is perhaps one for teenagers to be shown. See more Michael P @TheeMichael-jai Mar 17 Unsettling and terribly uncomfortable. It's more of a drama that explores deeply unsettling subject matter that is very rooted in reality, especially at that time when effective independent predator catching groups had yet to emerge. The movie is well written and Clive Owen, Catherine Keener, and Liana Liberato all deliver solid performances. There also seems to be some subliminal messaging drawing parallels between the subject matter and the model industry Clive Owen's character works for. Trust should be judged as a film and not by how good or satisfied you feel at the end of it.
