Inspired by Charles Dickens's iconic novel Oliver Twist, this action-fueled crime-thriller set in contemporary London follows the journey of Twist (Raff Law), a gifted graffiti artist trying to find his way after the loss of his mother. Lured into a street gang headed by the paternal Fagin (Oscar® winner* Michael Caine), Twist is attracted to the lifestyle -- and to Red (Sophie Simnett), an alluring member of Fagin's crew. But when an art theft goes wrong, Twist's moral code is tested as he's caught between Fagin, the police, and a loose-cannon enforcer (Lena Headey).

The real Twist in this lunkheaded Dickens update is the involvement of Michael Caine, who hopefully got another terrific house out of it.

It has no fresh angle on the material at all - merely a heist-by-numbers subplot straight out Guy Ritchie's drafts bin, welded to Dickens' coming-of-age narrative with all the poetry of a press release for a brand collaboration.

This is a totally ridiculous movie. No one appears to be in on the joke, though Caine's unswerving professional code guarantees he wouldn't let on if he were: that takes a degree of commitment, if not precisely effort.

Absolutely abysmal! I watched this expecting it a good subversion of Oliver Twist only to get a boring movie with boring choreography and terrible acting. Even from Michael Caine who tried and failed at doing a Russian accent. If there was a 0 star rating I would give to this movie it.

Different take on the Dickens classic which is an easy watch, but I much preferred the book to the film. Was nice to see some big names in there, however it felt they may have been used as a distraction to poorer acting skills of lesser known names.

Me parece que a esta película no la salva ni Michael Caine, donde lo único bueno de esta película esta en el sundtrack, en algunos sets y en Movimientos de Cámara interesantes. Que son los que sostienen a esta película y no la hacen todavía mas tediosa. Con una trama muy simple e irrealista, la película avanza muy lento y muy tediosamente. Otra cosa que no me gustó es la paleta de colores de la película. Que en muchos momentos empalaga y no se siente "real". La actuación de esta película tampoco es algo que se salva de la misma. Donde me parece que todos hacen un mal trabajo y no hay lugar para construir a un personaje interesante. Otra cosa que no me gustó de la película, fueron sus escenas aeróbicas, donde en muchos momentos se sienten muy exageradas y que no se introducen de forma orgánica en la misma. Y por si cabe mencionar otra cosa de la película; son sus grandes conveniencias de guion, donde hacen todavía mas irrealista y aburrida a la película, no sabiendo ocultar lo simple que es. Esta película es una que se perdió en 2021 y que no creo que mucha gente vaya a recordar.
