Wanted to love this. Painfully watched entirety. Cinematic jibber jabber dancing around many different philosophical thoughts without ever reaching a destination. Too obtuse to be helpful.

It spoke to me. It said "Your actions matter. Live while you are alive, because one day you will not wake up from your dream." It may not speak to everyone, but it was absolutely on time for me.

A totally enjoyable and creative art film, much better than I expected. Everything about it felt inventive and appealing. The animation was fresh and fluid, like a pleasant drug-state, constantly shifting in a way that fit the film’s dreamlike mood. The music was light and lively, and the dialogue was full of big philosophical questions, the kind of searching, late-night conversations that fit perfectly with a college experience. I especially enjoyed the way it kept toying with dream states, consciousness, and whether we are ever fully awake.

It is an interesting movie. Interesting concepts there, but it was missing something in there to hook me. Probably it was because it was animated. Overall, it is a nice watch, however if you are a person who doesn't like / cant connect to animations that well, it might be quite boring at times. Thinking about the movie - it was made in 2001, and back then AI and animations/visualisations weren't at the highest level, so actual animations were made frame by frame by real people. This is crazy when you think about it. How many human hours were invested into the making of this movie - 8-10 months.
