Although the love story might be cheesy, it's one of those that have a very meaningful plot and manages to get to your feelings. I'm not one to tear up but this movie definately had my heart sunk a bit. I can't explain it, but this might be my favourite film yet. Because of Jamie, Landon learned to get out of himself and strive for something greater. He learned of the good in his absentee father and found healing. And, eventually, he brings his selfish and superficial friends with him. It's an important lesson to learn, and the characters on the screen teach it in a way that's not preachy. You have a leading female that's impossible not to love. You have a compelling story, even if it's not altogether unpredictable. It doesn't matter, because you still love the characters.
