D S @RT87203462 Aug 30 Main characters stumble through this movie like beautiful but half-checked-out y2k dolls. Really pretty to watch, especially now with films so flat and blah. The English backdrop is beautiful and all the Wealthy People Having Great Fun scenes were delightful. HowEVer, this plot BARELY makes sense and has about half a dozen dead ends; it gave frothy fanfic writing, or like a chicklit excerpt you’d read in Cosmo. The English cast were the most interesting and lively part of this movie. Overall, pretty leads, happy ending , at least one genuine guffaw guaranteed, not much else! Messing and Mulroney in lead roles were very likeable and Amy Adams was great in her role as well. Most important is it was fun for a romantic comedy and I cared about the characters.
