For a film about accepting and embodying the mystical, Wildwood’s magic is rooted in its dazzling craftmanship rather than the transcendental power of its story.

[It] is a gorgeous ode to outsiders, nature, and everything we seem to be losing as we march toward a tech-heavy future.

Excellent production value and artistic design. But for my tastes, Wildwood needed to lean more into character development and emotional connections, and less into all the chasing, running and fighting.

Wildwood itself is a case study in holding on — to human-made craft and the belief that people still have vital stories to pass down to future generations, forms of wisdom that an algorithm can’t sell or a machine replace.

Worth this score for the groundbreaking animation alone. The plot wasn't anything new but it told a beautiful and emotional story, lots of laughs. The animation truly is a spectacle and the star, though.
