The acting and cinematography are excellent, and I appreciate that it is based on real-life events, but the length makes it difficult to follow. I also found it quite anticlimactic. Allen is interviewed in the first half, and even as viewers, it becomes fairly obvious that he is being presented as the Zodiac. After that, Graysmith essentially starts from the beginning and spends the rest of the movie trying to reach the same conclusion. There are also too many characters, anonymous tips, and investigations to keep track of, which makes the story confusing and easy to get lost in.It doesnt even make sense to me why Graysmith is so obsessed with the Zodiac. What is most frustrating is that if different police departments would have communicated and coordinated better, the investigation might have been very different. Overall, as a movie, it did not work for me. 3/10 - too long, too confusing, and ultimately unsatisfying. See more Mark B @Burrellius Aug 22 Streamed this movie at home.
