Aaron is a movie fanatic and loves writing and talking about such things, a lot. Born and raised in Orange County, California, he earned a degree or two at UC Santa Barbara. He fell in love with movies at a young age and has continued viewing, studying, and analyzing all aspects of the medium ever since. His mind is full of film knowledge and random trivia, but he is always open to learning more, whether it's through box office stats, reviewing Blu-rays from The Criterion Collection or simply hearing first hand from filmmakers and others about various productions and behind-the-scenes tidbits.

Pizza Movie (2026) 78% 7/10 EDIT “I laughed a lot throughout this film because of the sensibilities of all involved. Removing an inner logic shared by every scene in the film gives you a range of comedic material to work with, and it’s all grounded in what the leads are giving.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 9, 2026 Full Review Outcome (2026) 26% 4/10 EDIT “Reeves is clearly game to lean into what the story is calling for, but it was simply hard to actually believe in him suddenly becoming a manic mad man trying to retain his reputation.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 9, 2026 Full Review Exit 8 (2025) 95% 7/10 EDIT “As it stands, there’s a lot here that aligns with what I want in original features, especially those from a smaller system rather than a mainstream IP. ” – We Live Entertainment Apr 9, 2026 Full Review Faces of Death (2026) 69% 7/10 EDIT “Not only does it manage to pull off what it’s aiming for, but the film serves as a much better example of a Scream-type movie than the actual recent entry in that franchise. ” – We Live Entertainment Apr 9, 2026 Full Review You, Me & Tuscany (2026) 68% 6/10 EDIT “Given that romantic comedies are an endangered species in theaters, the mild pleasure found here does enough.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 9, 2026 Full Review Pretty Lethal (2026) 56% 5/10 EDIT “Not for nothing, but it’s great to see that a schlocky genre film like this is happy to include a talented actress like Simmonds, who may be deaf, but is happy to go along with this sort of nonsense, presumably because it sounded like a fun challenge.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 9, 2026 Full Review Fantasy Life (2025) 81% 6/10 EDIT “It’s Peet who delivers what’s required here, be it her comedic instincts or interactions with any number of supporting players.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 9, 2026 Full Review Mermaid (2025) 90% 6/10 EDIT “Even with the surreal nature of it all, the genre-bending story made for an interesting way to take in the broad notion of what gives rise to the infamous "Florida Man."” – We Live Entertainment Apr 9, 2026 Full Review Miroirs No. 3 (2025) 94% 6/10 EDIT “I couldn’t help but feel a bit at arm’s length this time around. Not unworth checking out for the film’s positive qualities, but just a bit lower on the Petzold scale.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 9, 2026 Full Review Forbidden Fruits (2026) 72% 7/10 EDIT “I did appreciate how well this film sticks the landing by committing to a certain tone. Yes, some gorier elements occur quite rapidly, but they only add to the way the film’s pitch naturally develops over time. ” – We Live Entertainment Apr 9, 2026 Full Review The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (2026) 43% EDIT “Despite ultimately moving in the right direction, the continued choice to play things so incredibly safe renders a universe full of imagination as one featuring stories and characters that still never rise above a bland level.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 9, 2026 Full Review The Christophers (2025) 96% EDIT “Adding a bit of a caper element and commentary on art culture only increases the value, making this a piece worth checking out.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 9, 2026 Full Review Heel (The Good Boy) (2025) 87% 7/10 EDIT “There’s strong work going into this film, which is a great way to balance the oddity of what’s taking place here. Graham shows just how amazing he is as a performer, letting his character’s vulnerabilities lead him to both drastic and heartfelt actions. ” – We Live Entertainment Apr 1, 2026 Full Review Home Delivery (2025) 6/10 EDIT “Some of this certainly falls into old tropes. Still, when there’s fun to be had with all the different interactions and the ticking clock that is the eventual birth, it’s easy just to roll along with the intended fun being generated by all involved. ” – We Live Entertainment Apr 1, 2026 Full Review Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice (2026) 78% 7/10 EDIT “Along with having a clever premise that pays off in terms of the comedic elements as well as the sci-fi ones when it comes to appreciating the effort that goes into delivering a solid time travel story, I have to say – this movie looks great.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 1, 2026 Full Review Ready or Not 2: Here I Come (2026) 73% 6/10 EDIT “I enjoyed the 2019 original fine, but this feels like an improvement from directors Matt Bettinelli-Opin and Tyler Gillett for a few reasons. The kills are more creative, and the leaning on the explosion of bodies never fails to delight.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 1, 2026 Full Review They Will Kill You (2026) 63% 6/10 EDIT “It’s essentially a game of cat & mouse with a supernatural twist. Much of it thrives on Beetz’s great work in the lead role, along with the heavy dose of style the film affords.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 1, 2026 Full Review The Drama (2026) 77% EDIT “Handling the nature of what’s being discussed in such a darkly comedic way is key. Because of the writing and directorial choices, there’s plenty to latch onto in terms of this film’s take on entertainment value.” – We Live Entertainment Apr 1, 2026 Full Review The Visitor (1979) 79% 3/5 EDIT “This is a cult movie experience through and through, and it’s clearly found an audience in the time since its initial 1979 release. I happen to appreciate its controlled weirdness, making it a film not hard to revisit.” – Why So Blu Mar 14, 2026 Full Review Westworld (1973) 83% 4/5 EDIT “The film is well-made and delivers on being a solid mix of satire and thrills. The extra layer of having Brynner on board only adds to the eeriness that should emerge once everything goes haywire. ” – Why So Blu Mar 14, 2026 Full Review Cold Storage (2026) 80% 7/10 EDIT “Given the bleakness found in HBO’s The Last of Us, it’s refreshing to see a film like this that has far more fun with parasitic fungus.” – We Live Entertainment Mar 14, 2026 Full Review Youngblood (2025) 65% 7/10 EDIT “As a sports film, the plot follows a familiar trajectory, but it is the added shading that allows this movie to work better than it would otherwise.” – We Live Entertainment Mar 14, 2026 Full Review Redux Redux (2025) 97% 8/10 EDIT “All of this adds up to a film that is subtly cleverer than it may seem, while also delivering on the thrills of its premise in a very satisfying way.” – We Live Entertainment Mar 14, 2026 Full Review War Machine (2026) 69% 7/10 EDIT “As a pretty efficient action film that feels like a throwback with modern effects (the heavier-than-expected jingoism reinforces this sentiment), War Machine is the best film on Netflix with that title.” – We Live Entertainment Mar 14, 2026 Full Review Slanted (2025) 69% 5/10 EDIT “There’s no doubt that the material- and situation-based stories worth looking into in greater depth are the ones I wish this film had explored more effectively. ” – We Live Entertainment Mar 14, 2026 Full Review
