Furious is feminist, yes, but not in a hectoring way. It remains subversive, entertaining and even funny during its bleakest moments, with prestige acting and cliché-free dialogue that breathes new life into the tired old police procedural. Go to Full Review

This is a show willing to sit in really heavy emotional and moral confusion, where people’s actions don’t often make sense. Nor do they need to make sense. Go to Full Review

Trust me, this show is anything but typical. Every character is nuanced and repeatedly surprising, especially the two agents. Go to Full Review

Bernadine’s Nora is particularly effective, displaying a biting sense of humor and a “screw you” attitude toward her patronizing bosses. Despite the overall grimness of the show you’ll find yourself laughing at her savage put-downs. Go to Full Review

Ronald S @RT02474997 4h Wildly overrated. A 98% critics score and 89% audience score genuinely baffles me. The acting was mediocre, the writing often felt amateurish, and there were several points where the plot simply did not make sense. I kept waiting for the show to justify the hype, and it never did. What makes the praise even stranger is seeing Furious receive ratings in the same general territory as genuinely exceptional television like True Detective (season 1). We have gotten far too comfortable treating mediocre television as prestige television simply because it is packaged and marketed that way. I finished the season completely underwhelmed. I would not watch a second season, and I genuinely do not understand the level of acclaim surrounding this show. Two stars, and even that feels generous. See more Oliver F @climatepebber 5h An absolutely fresh and convincing take on the detective genre. Whenever I feared it was going to slip into tropes and clichés, it saved itself. Great job. See more Mark V @MarkLastname 23h Emmy Rossum has this hateful and incredible power to absolutely devastate me and somehow admire whatever character she plays. Apparently she’s grown even more powerful since Shameless. For someone who is quite aware of the different thriller formulas, I have to say this show has kept me on my toes. I feared a recycling of the Killing Eve Plot, but was pleasantly surprised with a show that stands on its own. Delightfully complex characters within a bittersweet (mostly bitter) and dark plot. I can’t do anything but recommend. See more George R @RT45747102 1d This show just kept getting better and better with each episode! A gut wrenching movie dealing with abusive relationships & child pornography and it's emotional impact on it's victims. A solid watch and one of the best series that I've seen in some time. See more Irma S @RT06585640 1d From the reactions I saw I was expecting some hbo-level crime drama but I was sadly disappointed. It wasn't bad, I just found it to be alright, by the last few episodes I was just waiting for it to end. The story never really gripped me and some decisions didn't make sense to me. Lola Petticrew delivered a great performance, I unfortunately can't see Emily as anything other than Fiona and I didn't really like Bernstein's performance. Don't think I'll be tuning in for a second season. See more Alexis L @SpagooterNooter 1d Took me a few episodes to get into it (I’m not one for crime shows) but the drama eventually hooked me. Ended very well. Emmy rosum still is an amazing actress. Glad to see her back on the screen. See more Read all reviews
