From the outset, it struggles to establish a coherent direction, leaving the story feeling aimless and unengaging. The narrative is inconsistent and fragmented, with events that lack tension, suspense, or any sense of progression, making it difficult to stay invested. The screenplay is especially problematic, riddled with poorly constructed dialogue and illogical sequences that prevent the film from building any real atmosphere or fear. Acting is uneven, with performances that fail to ground the characters or make them relatable, leaving the viewer detached from the unfolding events. Technical elements, including cinematography, sound, and editing, do little to enhance the horror or create a sense of immersion. A lot of bland parts, mixed with some fun parts. You can always tell when a bunch of halfwit northerners made a movie. Their idea of how deep mountain Southerners speak is so blatantly off it's astounding. Yankees really are the worst sometimes. Anyways, it could have been a lot better if they had good writers and some actual southern actors. Can't recommend. See more Richard K @RT35506618 07/01/2025 This movie looked promising and had a great cast with Bai Ling doing a cameo, and lead roles with Felissa Rose and Lynn Lowry. It then did something weird. The pacing was off, the story dry, the acting forced, and the ending which should have been a dramatic showdown was dull. There were too many characters which were so similar they lost my interest as to what happened to them. I think a different editor could have made a difference in the pacing and story telling. A smaller cast would have helped keep me engaged. The soundtrack was also not interesting, it did not move the end fight along in particulatlr. Sadly, it brought nothing to the scenes.
