Great actors, great filming, good pacing, decent action, but flimsy plot. Too many unbelievable circumstances. This was straight Jason Bourne -- totally serious --- so you have to get the details right, but they failed. If they had gone Jason Statham -- a bit corny, over the top -- this might have worked.

I kept hoping that there'd be some redeeming scenes or dialog. Nope. Poor everything. There wasn't one believable scenario or circumstance. Imagine avenging your lover's assassination attempt, then leaving him to bring to justice to those responsible and letting the villain get away. Horrible movie.

Agent Zero (Badh in France) borrows a bit too much from the Bourne plot lines, but it is much darker, grittier, and more human. This is not a super-soldier story. It follows the lone-assassin arc, with a protagonist who feels vulnerable and human rather than nearly indestructible. There are an amazing number of plot holes, and the English dubbing is pretty poor. The story is also predictable in places, particularly if you are familiar with this genre. All that said, it kept me engaged from beginning to end, even when I could see where it was going. The grittier approach works, and there is enough here to make me want more. I hope they make a second film in the series, if only to complete the plot arc they started.
