Jason W @Thejasonwatts Aug 30 I guess you could call this a horror comedy, more comedy than horror, bordering on silly. Disgraced podcaster documents claims of a monster by a savvy hillbilly widower, in hopes of reviving his career. Oh and the house is booby trapped like Home Alone. The low budget aspect is apparent, however the film does hold its own despite some amateur looking shots and parts of the dialogue. The soundtrack also sounds like it was pulled from a 90s Disney movie. Why we elected to turn this story into slapstick after the opening scene is a guy who kidnapped a person and then shot himself, no clue. That is bizarre. I don't know if it was a parody or just bad. For example they did that trope where a grumpy bad-*ss character softens up and shows a rare moment of vulnerability.
