It's my understanding that Rance Howard more or less gave up his dream of becoming an actor to raise his family. I'm glad I watched that interview and I'm equally glad I watched this movie. Rance Howard's role of a lifetime. A poignant treasure of a film. Michael Worth knocks it out of the park as writer, director, and star. Wonderful soundtrack too, with originals that fit each moment perfectly. This movie is like a cinematic back massage. Clint Howard and Robby Benson have short pivotal roles as his son and ex-con apprentice, respectively, and they're top-drawer in their roles.
