Archaeologist Scarlett Marlowe has devoted her whole life to finding one of history's greatest treasures: Flamel's Philosopher's Stone. According to legend, the artifact can grant eternal life and turn any metal into gold. When she learns that the stone is hidden underground in the Catacombs of Paris, she assembles a crew to guide and document her historic mission. As they begin their descent, the team-members have no way of knowing that they are entering their own personal hell.

It's tough to get too worked up, as head-mounted cameras whip between fleeting figures and panicked faces with all the tension of a jittery recording of a trip through your local haunted house.

The idea of setting a horror movie in the Paris Catacombs is brilliant, and they take full advantage of all the elements that make them scary in real life. It’s huge and maze-like, it’s claustrophobic, caves be caves, and spooky bones.

Reallly goood. It makes you feel so claustrophobic, and scared. The character, the main character, I just don't get how can everyone agree with her so easily. She just says something and everyone just does as she wants, like I think they all would have been saved if they would have stood their grounds, but well. This movie is amazing, really. Makes you feel like you are inside the movie, because all the tiny places, all the things they have to pass, is just makes you think, what if i were in this situation? Really a masterpiece.

Pretty good tho the main character doesn’t actually know how to translate stuff and it was kinda painful to watch her fail to translate the most simple sentences but other then that it was pretty good.

My favorite comfort horror film. Best “found footage” and I love how her knowledge in other languages/culture/history is what ultimately saves them in the end. Acting is great and so are the visuals, along with the parallels. This film deserves a way better score.

Very underrated. This movie blends traditional found footage horror with what feels like tomb raider. Once things get going, this movie feels creepy, intense and oddly fast paced without one compromising the other. Definitely worth a watch for any horror fans that might have missed it.
