Fresh out of college, Barry the Bee finds the prospect of working with honey uninspiring. He flies outside the hive for the first time and talks to a human, breaking a cardinal rule of his species. Love it and like others are saying so underrated of a film. This was my film growing up and I still love it to this day. For those who say this movie sucks I don’t what movie you’re watching. 5/5 stars

Underrated movie. Its so funny, the characters are brilliant, the story is clever and this film works as a standalone movie. If it weren't for the memes, the film wouldn't have its cult status that it has today.

Definitely one of the great hallmarks of animation. The screenwriters of this work provide multidimensional characters, displaying their skills with naturalist dialogue to all that witness this spectacle. The plot contains elements of "self discovery" and deals with themes like "Regret" and "Actualization". With our main character "Barry" played to perfection by Jerry Sign-feld, and let me tell you, I almost "Feld" over from how life-defining this Shakespearean work of art was. The score is deceptively mundane to the films benefit, the story is as gripping as it is humorous, and the performances all round are stunning. If this site was rating with letters, I would proudly give this film a rock solid "B" in honor of its namesake. But the true rating of this masterpiece can be nothing less then an "A+" or in this case - a perfect 10/10.

Watching this again as an adult, I'm surprised by how clunky the animation is compared to today's standards. Would the story be told better in 2026 - certainly! Could some of the voice actors have done a better job - sure! But it's still a fun film, filled with observational humour about the world of bees, which kept me entertained.
