The mystery thriller Brut Force overcomes some of its flaws (acting and dialogue that are occasionally cringeworthy) with effective suspense and memorable characters in this movie about a journalist investigating a woman's disappearance.

There is a lot of promise and good in Brut Force, but it just falls short of its bigger aspirations. Sloane is a great character and the setting is unique for this this type of film. Topical but lacking impact.

We watched this movie because Rotten Tomato gave it such a good review. We were VERY disappointed with everything. Story, acting , really everything. Just awful and not worth watching. J and R Whelpley

A hundred?! Really?! The acting was terrible and it seemed like a "B" movie at best. The lead actress was OK but everyone else acted like they were in some small-town theater group.

I am amazed that this badly directed, badly acted, and amateurish production got such high ratings. After paying to stream it I kept watching to see if it got better and it only got worse. I lost a lot of respect for Rotten Tomatoes and in the future will pay more attention to other rating sources.

The beginning was somewhat interesting, but it dragged on and not focused on anything to the point I was bored half way through and stopped. Why all these awesome tomato scores that lured me to watch this? Says 250+ audience reviews but then I checked and only I was the only one!
