What begins as a promising survival thriller quickly slows to a crawl, with long stretches that lack tension or narrative progression. The film attempts to sustain suspense through sporadic appearances of a mysterious creature, but this element is never clearly defined or logically integrated into the story. Rather than elevating the danger, the creature’s random presence creates confusion and disrupts the film’s pacing. Character development and decision-making remain thin, and the story never fully commits to either realism or horror. While the eventual rescue provides closure, it does little to redeem the film’s structural and pacing issues. In the end, Cold Meat has moments of atmosphere but falls short as a cohesive or compelling survival thriller.
