In 2009, Conan O'Brien took over for Jay Leno as host of NBC's "The Tonight Show," but, after only seven months on the job, he suddenly found himself unemployed. Embroiled in a legal battle with the network, Conan took his talents on the road for a 32-city comedy show aptly titled "The Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour." Filmmaker Rodman Flender was there every step of the way to document the comic's personal struggles during the most tumultuous time of his career.

It's hard to feel sorry for a guy who banked millions for not hosting "The Tonight Show" anymore, but it's also fascinating to see a man this compulsively driven to get back in front of people and tell jokes, to hear the laughter, to soak in the applause. I love Conan, his story deserves telling, and I appreciated the behind the scenes looks at the firing from NBC, the development of the road show, and the people involved as it goes off. I'm a big time Conan O'Brien fan so I'm a little biased but I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. You get to see the real Conan at a more difficult time in his life and there were a lot of emotions but man did I laugh hard. I laughed a lot and I was so sad when it was over. There was also a lot of great music in the movie (I had no idea Conan was a good singer).
