prawnda S @RT72497680 Feb 26 the sound design is consistently a terrible cacophony. i agree with others that this is just a bunch of other movies in a blender, and also it makes basically zero sense. if the audio wasnt so awful it would be much more bearable, but it's as randomized and tasteless as the plot. im told that there's a lot of fun, somewhat goofy action in this so i'm leaving it at 50%, and i think that if i watched it on mute it might be bearable, but i had to stop around 20-25 minutes. See more Justin T @RT08580778 Feb 22 This borrows a lot from other films. Well to be more accurate it steals a lot from other films. If Max from Mad Max (1979), Snake Plissken from Escape from New York (1981), William Wallace from Braveheart (1995) and Jim from 28 Days Later (2002) were to have a baby then this would be it! The first part in London is fun but rather redundant, the first bit in Scotland a fantastic ride, the medieval bit is a jolting misplace and the last part in Scotland is climactic. Overall I would have to say that it is a fun ride let down by too many reminiscent features and a fire castle chapter. The amazing highlights are the explosive stunts, darkly humoured tribal dancing and the steam train. It was a medieval mistake but feral Scotland fun. London didn't really figure. See more Nicholas L @RT20845396 01/31/2025 Ever since I was a little boy, sitting in my mother's bed watching the big box TV I saw this movie. I've only watched the opening and a brief glimpse of the LORE before I had to go because my parents got home and I wasn't allowed to watch movies like this. Ever since that day I've been searching for that movie. I am 22 years old now and I finally found it! The memory I held onto of the brief introduction brought me here! It does not disappoint. Yes, there are moments that makes you scratch your head saying "Wait, how?- When?-". The story is on a straight line but is a bit confusing. Since this is almost a mad max spin off, but I can see how old civilization would collapse into primal beings, but it really makes you scratch your head at times. Surely, if they had a big enough budget, they would've fixed the pathing. (Personal note: Why are there still cows around? Since if everyone resorted to eating each other, wouldn't that mean all live stock died off. Also, why are they still eating each other? There are clearly live stock and they somehow still have gasoline. (Which is not possible since 30 years has past. Fuel stabilizers can make gasoline last up to three years if stored in optimal conditions). See more Read all reviews
