It’s a shame the actress who played Ruby gave up her career—besides being beautiful, she was talented. The script has a few plot flaws—common in many films of that era that stumbled at times—such as allowing strangers to become guardians and the ease with which a distant uncle was accepted in that role. It's not groundbreaking, but it's a solid thriller with good acting, a cold and unsettling tone, and just enough tension to make it worth a watch.
