Simpleminded, but it's fairly inoffensive, at least until Ashby lingers over the concentration-camp serial number tattooed on Gordon's arm. Some things are beyond the reach of whimsy.

With a soundtrack by Cat Stevens, back when he used that name he wrote incredible songs. Harold and Maude prove that you can fall in love despite the age difference. I agree with Maude that 80 years old is just the right time to die!

Loved this. I really enjoyed the music. Cat Stevens is perfect for this movie. I loved all the sets and locations the movie is 55 years old so it's a nice glimpse into the past visually. I loved the relationship that developed between Harold and Maude. Beautiful. My son cried, cried at the end. Maybe I'm too dead inside for that, didn't seem that sad to me.

Weird and wonderful; you either "get it " or you don't. I first saw it in the movie theater as a naive teenager, and I loved it. The soundtrack is unmatched. ❤️
