Beth (Lauren German), Lorna (Heather Matarazzo) and Whitney (Bijou Phillips), three young American women traveling abroad in Rome, decide to take a weekend excursion. SPLAT SPLAT SPLAT away Mr. Roth. Wow, I love Hostel II. Even though I've barely been in a physical fight, I really applauded as the women in this flick fought back HARD. First, Eli Roth wrote, directed, produced and then probably did so many other things (lower budget movies, having to wear a lot of hats)and yet it has a high-quality vibe, a big movie best watched in the theaters! Roth's esthetics are quite amazing for horror and a style that, along with Perkins, I connect to. In this case, Hostel III. III is the favorite for me out of the three Hostel movies. I did not care much about the third one, and I saw that Roth was not the writer, or director. Sure, this is a bloody, gross, SPLAT movie (check out the term Splat as it applies to a selective group of filmmakers. Roth is one and so is another favorite of mine, Wan. Perhaps Perkins will join the group at some point. In re to this movie, I loved the story, script, acting, music, sounds, stand-ins, background, directing, makeup, hair and everything. The movie felt authentic to areas, saying the movie takes place as it was filmed in Europe. I really loved the ending. Rather than write another novella on a review, just go watch this movie. I am watching it again on DVD. I hope Mr. Roth really UNLOADS and creates bigger SPLAT flick in the future!

Plot/idea of the story was good and interesting and crazy. But it’s long and drawn out with not a lot of much going on in probably the first half of the movie. And then second half it goes all out, but I think they need to make another one part three with better acting and make it less boring in the first and second part.

More of the same. Probably not as good as the first one. Significantly less nudity which was disappointing. I did like how the two movies connected one after the other though.
