After a series of misfortunes, washed-up television "icon," Blake de Troy (Jack Plotnick) -- best known for his appearances on the long-off-the-air gameshow The Hollywood Surprise -- is rescued from a car accident by his biggest (and only living) fan Antoinette Funk (Rachel Dratch). Bedridden in the Everglades swamps, Blake believes that he's been kidnapped by the sweet-natured but slightly deranged Antoinette. Desperate for a career boost, Blake soon realizes that maybe a kidnapping scandal is just the shameless publicity he's been looking for.
