When U.S. Marine Gabriel Drummer (Shia LaBeouf) returns from Afghanistan, he finds the place he once called home is no better than the battlefields he fought on overseas. Accompanied by his best friend, a hard-nosed Marine whose natural instinct is to shoot first and ask questions later, Gabriel searches desperately for his estranged son and his wife, leading to a suspect who has vital information about their location.

Again, the critics can only bash what many audience enjoy. The audience score should be what the RT rating reflects. This movie is far from perfect, but I enjoyed it and appreciate what it attempts. If you are a fan of Kate mara, Tory Kittles, Gary Oldman, or Shia LaBouf, yo should see this. All those that think they are too high-minded to allow themselves to enjoy this need to re-think their wannabe intelligentsia aspirations and come back down to earth.

Not at all what I was expecting. More drama than action with an interesting and sad twist at the end. Can appreciate the powerful message they were trying to convey. Not a bad watch but wouldn't watch it again.
