New to Los Angeles, talented photographer Nick (Joey Bicicchi) falls hard for the free-spirited Tessa (Maia Mitchell) who introduces him to the fast-paced world of high fashion. Fueled by sex, drugs, and the seduction of unbridled adoration, their love borders on obsession when she asks him to do the unimaginable. When a dark truth is uncovered, the young lovers are hurdled down a path of revenge and destruction blurring the lines of morality and begging the question -- how far would you go for the one you love?

There’s enough sex and violence here to hold attention for an hour and a half, but the care or conviction to explain why it all happens — let alone why viewers should care — proves elusive. Go to Full Review

The two leads Bichicchi and Mitchell show promise. They hold your interest in a confusing but somewhat interesting story. Go to Full Review

This muddled erotic thriller feels like a throwback to assembly-line noir exercises from a bygone era. Go to Full Review

Amid its various twists and turns, the film becomes almost staggeringly nihilistic. Go to Full Review

No Way Out ends up being a serviceable thriller. After a rough start, the writing smooths out and the characters become less grating. The plot develops into a standard noir that will not surprise fans, but will keep them watching. Go to Full Review

The MAD Screenwriter S @TheMADScreenwriter 02/22/2024 While I'm by no means claiming that this film was any version of a cinematic masterpiece, I was impressed by this film's ability to do more with less than I expected when I started watching it. Mitchell and Bicicchi's performances felt honest at least, and the story itself was interesting enough as it races towards the twist I think we could all see coming. But despite the film's shortcomings it does manage to hold your attention through what turned out to be a fairly brisk watch, making it, in my eyes at least, not a bad first try for the first time writer and director. Typical Hollywood abyssal failure posing as cinema, catering to a few urban drooling hipsters who will probably try to emulate the mini stars at their next sad party.
